It was in a central setting close to everything. Besides, it was really close to Port Macquarie, about half a hour away where there are lots of cafes serving good breakfasts, sea side and cafes...

This hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient to access the river and nearby BBQ areas, as well as various cafes. I'm pleased to mention that I was upgraded to a spacious and newly decorated twin room that had all the amenities I needed. there are plenty of cafes just half an hour away that serve delicious breakfasts.

Nice place to stop and rest along the Pacific Highway. The place is just a road side of highway. This hotel is located in the middle of the highway between Sydney and Brisbane. We took 1 day off to stay in this hotel before continuing our journey to Brisbane.

Easy check-in, friendly management, cleanliness of room, well fitted out room with good kitchen fitout until you try to use the electricals.
The fact that the kitchen sink had no hot water tap, ecen though there was electric frypan, microwave and crockery provided to use, there were no power points in the kitchen at all. There was a power point in the middle of the room for the tv from there was a lead then a power poard plugged into the lead located on the floor under the table into which the fridge was plugged and if you wanted to use the kettle, toaster, microwave or electric frypan you had to crawl under the table to plug them. I do not consider this a safe practice for a supposedly family friendly room!!!! If 2 appliances were operated at the same time the power board switched off and the button had to pressed to reset it. There was nogt even a power point near the main bed for the clock radio which incidently was found hidden in a cupboard. Also there was a continuous roar of a engine or air conditioner unit outside the unit which was deafening until the early hours of the morning. The unit (19) was recommended when I checked in as it had a new bathroom fitted which appeared at first to be great except there was a problem with the toilet flushing system and the room had no exhaust fan. It appears as though the room had been renovated in a half hearted manner, definately not at the standard it should be.
